Roulette Game

There's a fascinating story about one of the most popular of casino games – roulette game. Joseph Hobson Jaggers – a man who had a passion for the roulette game was working in a textile mill way back in 1873, when he noticed that the wooden spindles used to wind wool wore down over time. As they were similar to the spindles of roulette game wheels, he thought the same might happen at the casino games tables.

With six friends Jaggers visited the casinos to make a study of the numbers that came up on the roulette game wheels. Their analysis showed that as the roulette game spindle wore down it caused imbalances, and on one of the roulette game wheels a set of nine numbers won repeatedly. Taking full advantage of this, Jaggers raked in $300,000 in four days playing roulette game. But on the fifth day he started losing heavily - until he realized that the casino had switched the wheel at his roulette game table. He then went and located the lucky unbalanced roulette game wheel and won a further $450,000. Casino games operators caught wind of what was happening and eventually changed the design of the roulette wheel.

If you're entertaining thoughts of emulating Jaggers at the roulette game, forget it. Today's roulette game wheels are regularly balanced and serviced to remove any bias towards certain numbers. And of course these quirks are totally out of the question in online casinos game, which use random roulette wheel number generators.

But there are quite a few other brilliant careers that online roulette game and general casino games gamblers can borrow a page from. Einstein sometimes devoted his genius to throwing a dice or two in order to better understand the math behind chance, probability and sheer good fortune. Casino games might be considered by many a mere recreational activity, but for some of the world's greatest minds it has been the subject of intense scrutiny, puzzling mathematical geniuses for centuries – ever since people made the link between games of chance and complex mathematical equations. In 1654 French mathematician Blaise Pascal formulated the theory of probability, stating that when two dice are rolled the number seven has the greatest chance of coming up. Incidentally, Pascal has also been credited as the man behind the creation of the roulette game wheel.
